This chimney is the vent shaft over the stormwater system built 1912 by the sth brisbane council. It rises to 15.3m (50ft). In 1977 the site became part of shopping centre. The developers wanted it demolished but it was saved. In 1988 it was restored and added to heritage register in 2001. It is only 1 of 4 remaining brick chimneys in brisbane.
