Rowley's House is a splendid 17th-century timber-framed building, built as a warehouse and dwelling. The attached Rowley's Mansion (built in 1616) was one of the earliest brick-built mansions in Shrewsbury. The whole building is one of the only, if not the only, remaining examples of a domestic house with warehouse attached. At present, the building houses the town's museum and art gallery. Rowley's is the iconic building representing medieval Shrewsbury.
