History
This has been the site of an Ice Stadium since 1939. The old stadium being the place where Torvill and Dean honed their skills and was probably the reason that Nottingham managed to get such a huge development agreed and funded. The new arena was built on the site of a number of old buildings and an ancient graveyard, a Saxon Jug was recovered from the site during building.
The new arena was opened in 2000 and is now a major arena venue for headlining acts.
