Fairfield Esplanade is a riverside reserve that runs along the eastern side of the Waikato River under the Fairfield Bridge.
A walkway/cycleway has been constructed along part of the reserve that provides users with a pleasant riverside excursion. Although the riverside walkway/cycleway does not extend along much of the eastern side of the river as it does on the western banks there is potential in future for further walkway/cycleway links to be made which would link to those existing in Fairfield Esplanade.
