Netherton Tunnel Series
To ensure that you capture all the Munzee and stay safe in the tunnel, please follow these guidelines.
1. You can start at either end, from #1 or #11. Keep the canal on your right-hand side as you walk and you won’t go wrong!
2. IT IS VERY DARK IN THE TUNNEL. Take a good torch and extra batteries!
3. Please, please, keep a careful watch on your younger Munzaneers!
4. Wellies or good waterproof boots are ideal as some parts of the towpath are water logged. Oh, and a brolly in some places!
5. Beware of cyclists and ... Ghosts!
6. The tunnel is 2768 meters/9081 feet long and will take approximately 3-4 hours to complete both sides.
7. Take a digital camera – YOU WILL NEED IT to take pictures of the Munzee when you find them. You will not be able to capture inside the tunnel as there is no signal!
8. Once you reach daylight at the other end of the tunnel, scan the pictures on the camera to capture the Munzee.
9. Continue over to the other side of the canal and do the same again!
